HP Pro x2 aims to take on Microsofts Surface devices

If HP’s latest Windows 10 2-in-1 device looks familiar to you, that’s because it heavily borrows from Microsoft’s Surface playbook. At this year’s Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, HP has introduced the Pro x2 612 G2, a premium tablet sporting a 12-inch Full HD display for enterprise customers.

According to Windows Blog, the HP Pro x2 combines “individuality and productivity with industrial design in a sleek device.” With the device, you can draw and mark up webpages on Edge using Windows Ink.

The Pro x2 includes a “Collaboration Keyboard” with backlit keys and magnetic connections as well as a removable back cover and a removable SSD. Inside, the 2-in-1 packs the 7th-gen Intel Core i7, i5, M, and Pentium processors. You can tilt the integrated kickstand up to 165 degrees. The device also ships with the HP Active Wacom Pen to help you perform precise input in drawings and presentations.

HP Pro x2 can stay awake for up to 11 hours with its non-removable battery, which can be charged to 50% in 30 minutes. It also features USB-C and USB-A ports, 5-megapixel front-facing and 8-megapixel rear cameras, a slot for a microSD card, and up to 512GB of SSD storage.
