Pros Easy to use Fast repair times Can be tested for free Supports batch processing Simplistic on-screen instructions You can preview the repaired file Cons The interface look very dated Doesn't handle images and graphics very well

See how efficient it is before spending a dime

Everyone likes to know that whatever it is that they are about to buy is indeed worth the costs, and this includes buying software.

That is precisely what we like about Kernel for Word since it offers up a free Demo version for you to install before you have to decide whether the program is indeed worth it or not.

Unfortunately, the Demo version is merely for preview purposes, as it cannot be used to actually recover the Word files per say, just give you a glimpse of what the output files may look like after repair.

A simplistic, albeit outdated interface

A simple interface is a surefire way of winning a large user base, and Kernel for Word does indeed have one.

Unfortunately, the UI elements make the program look dated, like a software from the Windows XP era.

However, if you can look past the visuals, this program will suffice through it’s functionalities alone.

Good Word recovery, with a few mentions

Kernel for Word was good at finding and repairing Word files to some extent, although there are some limitations to this program’s functionalities.

For example, while it can recover text pretty well, it doesn’t seem to manage to recover the other graphical elements, such as images that were in the Word document, or even the graphics.

More so, depending on the nature of the Word document’s corruption, some pieces of text may still be unreadable even after fixing.

All in all, Kernel for Word is good at recovering all Word file formats, although considering it to be among the best would be a long shot.
