Since there are many of you that haven’t probably tried it yet, we’ve decided to create this step-by-step guide on how you can make use of Opera’s built-in VPN efficiently.
How do I use Opera’s built-in VPN?

Now that you’ve performed these changes, you should be able to see an extra utility button called VPN appear next to the URL search box whenever you open a new tab.
Whenever you want to access an otherwise restricted location, simply press that button, and select a new Virtual Location.
There are 4 settings to choose from:
- Optimal location
- Europe
- Americas
- Asia
Once you select a new server, simply refresh the page you were currently on, and you will be able to see it as if you were from that region.
Remember that you have unlimited traffic when using Opera’s VPN, so don’t worry about the traffic log that it features, it is just there to inform you how much data was used, nothing else.
By following these steps, you should now be able to efficiently make use of Opera’s VPN, and no longer have to worry about having to pay for a third-party VPN or using free VPNs that aren’t safe just to access content from another region.
