Toshiba Portege X20W is the perfect Windows 10 convertible laptop

Toshiba recently announced its Portégé X20W, a new convertible laptop the company claims has a battery that lasts about 16 hours. While we’re not yet sure how long the battery lasts in real-world use but should Toshiba make good on its promises, it will surely attract a good number of buyers.

The Portégé X20W is trying to offer the best feature set when it comes to laptops and tablets, but it is not yet sure if it will please all customers with it. The convertible laptop comes with the seventh generation Intel Core processor, a USB-C port for charging and connectivity, a USB 3.0 port, and a 360° hinge offering five different viewing angles.

The trackpad the Portégé X20W comes with has an integrated Synaptics fingerprint sensor for biometric security. To make things even better, there are also two IR cameras that support Windows Hello facial recognition. The multi-touch display also comes with a TruPen stylus built on Wacom Feel technology that features 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and Windows Ink support.

Toshiba claims it plans to release a high number of USB-C accessories for the Portégé X20W. There will be also two different docks: Toshiba Thunderbolt 3 Dock and Toshiba WiGig Dock 6. Unfortunately, these two docks will hit stores sometime later this year. The good thing about these two docks is that they are designed to take advantage of the multi-purpose features that USB-C ports offers.

Toshiba’s Portégé X20W will hit the stores sometime “soon” and will be sold in Microsoft Stores in an exclusive Slate Gray color. Toshiba will also sell this laptop on its website later this month but in an Onyx Blue color. There are no details about the price this new device will have, but Toshiba will most likely offer more details about it sometime in the next few days.
